Bilingual Track

Bilingual French-English Track with thai introduction

Educational framework

Within the Bilingual track at La Petite Ecole Bangkok, the French National Curriculum is taught in both French and English by two certified, native-speaking teachers, from Nursery – Petite Section (2.5 years old) to Kindergarten – Grande Section (6 years old).

The school days alternate between French and English: one day in French, the next in English. This daily immersion allows children to naturally acquire both languages through authentic situations of communication, play, and learning.

Teachers communicate with the children exclusively in their native language, providing a consistent and reassuring environment that fosters vocabulary acquisition, comprehension, and oral expression.

To ensure the highest standards of education, our teaching team benefits from continuous professional development throughout the year, both internally and through our partnership with the AEFE. The school warmly welcomes families from all cultural backgrounds.

La Petite Ecole Bangkok follows the French National Education curriculum, which is structured around 4 core areas of learning:

The 4 core learning areas in Kindergarten

01

Developing language in all its dimensions

02

Acting, expressing, and understanding through physical & artistic activities

03

Acquiring early mathematical tools

04

Exploring the world

Learning through meaningful experiences

At La Petite Ecole Bangkok, these five areas of learning are interconnected rather than taught in isolation.

Children learn through

  • Play-based and hands-on activities
  • Exploration and experimentation
  • Interactions across different age groups
  • A language-rich environment
  • Artistic and sensory experiences
  • Outdoor learning and connecting with nature

Our mission is to guide each child toward becoming a confident, curious, creative, and caring learner.

Purpose-built learning spaces for young children

Our classrooms are thoughtfully organized into various thematic learning centers that help children develop spatial awareness, explore, experiment, and learn at their own pace.

Each station is designed to foster specific learning goals while encouraging high levels of autonomy and hands-on exploration:

  • 🔢 Math & numeracy center: Discovering numbers, quantities, and early logical concepts.

  • ✏️ Pre-writing & fine motor skills center: Developing fine motor skills and preparing for early writing movements.

  • 🔤 Language & phonics center: Enriching vocabulary, playing with sounds, and developing communication skills.

  • 📚 Reading & literacy corner: Awakening a love for books and storytelling.

  • 🧱 Construction & blocks center: Imagining, creating, and developing spatial reasoning.

  • 🎭 Imaginative & role-play center: Cooking, playing grocery store, doctor, or family to learn through imagination and social interactions.

  • 🎨 Visual arts studio: Experimenting with different techniques and expressing creativity.

These spaces are true invitations to learn through hands-on manipulation, observation, experimentation, and cooperation with peers.
